This story had great potential, but it was not interesting and I had a difficult time finishing it. I figured out how it was going to end early on and was a bit disappointed that there was no surprise ending. The characters were not believable. I understand that a short story doesn't leave much room for character development, but I expect the characters to be relatable. Also, the whole brain switch thing didn't make a lot of sense. When the humans got the animal brains, they just sat around with drool coming out of their mouths? Really? Animals wouldn't survive if they were that stupid.Warning: This story feels like animal rights propaganda. Personally, I think that humans should be ethical in their treatment of animals, but I like to know when I'm reading a story and when some one wants to push their propaganda. I guess all literature carries the writer's views, but the really good writers invite their readers to think rather than trying to force their ideas.
Overall, a bland story.

Forced Intelligence eBook JH Glaze JH Glaze Susan Grimm Reviews
Can you say SCARY!?! This short story was a very good read but definitely rattled my nerves, because it seems like something that could actually happen somewhere. I'd have to say that it raises suspicion & fear of "classified" information that I don't soon care to witness first hand! Whose side would you be on? J H Glaze sure knows how to bring on the fear factor!! ;*}
I didn't care for this book at all. It needed a little information at the beginning of this book about the research on the animals. It was like being thrown into the middle of a story with little background given.
10*s. I purchased my copy of this book directly from and I am ready to give my honest opinion.
WOW. This was a intriguingly mind blowing story that had me hooked from the first page clear till the end. I was totally blown away, because this is a different type of story then what I have been used to from this author, but it was an amazingly awesome story none the less. This is a MUST read phenominal story that will make you say 'WOW'. Thank you, JH Glaze, for wowing us with another look into your mind and writing style, I am very excited to read more of your books that will be coming soon!!!
Quibbles aside about a lack of explanation for the events here- reasonable given the short length of the story- I'm glad I took the time to check this out. An ending that made me flinch, emotionally rough but powerful.
This is an interesting short story of an experiment that went both right and wrong. Thought it was really interesting. The wrong is horribly wrong and the right is really right. Found it well written and its a really quick read.
Although this was an interesting read, the whole mechanism of how the experimental animals gained intelligence and the ability to talk (from rats and rabbits to orangs and chimps) and most of the humans appeared to switch brains with the rodents (lost intelligence) didn't really fly for me. I made it through the whole thing, but the ending wasn't what I expected (sigh), and I deleted it from my kindle as something I wouldn't recommend to anyone else or read again.
This is a great short read. You may read the description..and think that it is predictable and it's kind of like Planet of the Apes.
I don't like to give much away..but the opening scene will change your mind. This is a true sci-fi story with some horror elements..yet thought provoking elements.
This story will entertain...yet make you think what if this does happen? It would be amazing..but yet..the world clearly would not be ready for it...
You may find the ending a little predicting..but I guarantee you will still hold your breath..hope for them and shed a tear or two..
A thrill ride...you need to take it! It's short and thrilling!
JH Glaze..you've done it again!
