I’ve been Internet friends with Katie Kenyhercz since we both worked together with Crimson Romance, but this is the first time I’ve had the opportunity to read her work, and boy, am I glad I did! Katie is an immensely talented author! When I read, I like to highlight my favorite passages, only with ON THE FLY, it turned out to be the majority of the book! I told myself I needed to stop, and that lasted for a couple of pages. After that, many of the lines were so good, I felt compelled to highlight them despite my vow not to. Lines like, “Even from the bench, Nealy sounded like a manic depressive pixie.” Or, when they are auditioning the team’s dancers, “Twenty-four displays of frightening pep later…” and “Between karma and cleavage, the team was too psyched out to step up.” I mean, I could go on forever.
But it’s not just her wit. Katie creates real and interesting characters whose motivations drive them to conflicts so difficult it’s hard to see the way out. You root for them as the relationship builds and sweat with them when it seems to fall apart. Even with the minor characters you find yourself thinking, “I can’t wait to read HIS book.”
Katie Kenyhercz has passed a number of fabulous authors on my list of favorites and is possibly at the pinnacle. I highly recommend this series (especially if you’re a hockey fan like me!)

On The Fly Las Vegas Sinners Katie Kenyhercz 9781440565519 Books Reviews
I was sucked into the story of Jacey and Carter so easily and quickly! Both of the lead characters were very likeable and had awesome chemistry together. It also was interesting to see some of the hockey culture and the business side of professional sports in this book. I especially liked and smiled/giggled at the unwritten rule that you only call the hockey players by their last names or nickname unless you are the wife, girlfriend or family member of the player. My main negative for this book is that the ending was wrapped up a bit too quickly and a little bit unbelievable at the timing of how some of the events took place. Overall though I enjoyed reading this story and am glad that I bought it!
I'm very picky on what books I spend my money on especially when I've never heard of the author. This book was totally worth the gamble. I'm a die-hard hockey fan and love romance novels so what better way to enjoy both than to read a hockey romance. This book was very well-written with a believable plot and likeable characters. Jacey's brother was a little frustrating at times, but I guess that's what having a brother is like! The hockey aspect was very enjoyable as well. The author added in enough of the sport so that hockey fans would enjoy it without confusing non-hockey fans. I read this book in one night. I just couldn't put it down! I've never heard of this author before, however I would love to read more of her books! Great job, Ms. Katie Kenyhercz!
I seriously enjoyed reading this book, but I knew I would. For starters, I love hockey and hockey players-hubba hubba. Katie Kenyhercz had me from page one. Without giving the story away, I'd just like to say I was rooting for Carter and Jacey the entire time and my adrenaline was pumping by the time I got to the last page. I understand a lot of people were frustrated because other characters didn't seem to be as developed as the main two, but that's sort of the point. I really enjoyed Madden's character and despite his flaws, he's an incredibly loving and protective brother. I enjoyed "Reesey"s bits, too. All in all, this was the perfect evening read and I was finished within three hours. I simply couldn't put it down. Miss Kenyhercz definitely knows how to write out an action scene-and I mean Hockey!!! Though, she's very good with the 'other' action scenes, too. -wink wink- I give On The Fly 5 stars for sheer awesomeness and a hunky captain.
I have been obsessed with Hockey Romance for the last three weeks, and when Deirdre Martin’s New York Blades series proved to be NOT about hockey (beyond the first few books) I decided I needed something different and turned to Goodreads for lists of hockey books! On The Fly appeared on several lists, so I jumped at the chance to read it. After a few duds, Katie Kenyhercz debut was a welcome change! Her romance between Carter and Jacey was easy, spicy and a nice escape from life for a few hours!
I loved Carter. From the first moment he walked onto the page? I knew I was going to love him. Total alpha-male, and yet he has that super sweet side that comes out with Jacey. If I have one complaint about Carter, it’s that I don’t know him well enough. I wish we’d had more to his story – this book clearly focused on Jacey.
I would say that On The Fly is on par with other romance reads in similar genres. It’s short, sweet and to the point. There’s a bit of hockey (enough to appease me!) and there’s a bit of steam. It’s just a sweet story. I can’t really find anything to say I just adored about this story – but I can’t say anything bad about it either. (Other than that I wanted more!!)
If you’re looking for a sweet, quick romance? The this is the book for you!

Jacey and Carter have a ton of obstacles to overcome, but their love will be worth the risk. There are personal and professional hardships for them both, but their romance could turn the rink into a pool.
I enjoyed the roller coaster these two led me through, but I still had my moments of “wtf were you thinking!?” At the characters, lol.
This was a new to me author and I look forward to reading more of this series and from her.
I’d recommend this book.
A great story of Las Vegas Sinners professional hockey team, its captain, Carter Phlynn and its owner, Jacquelyn "Jacey" Vaughn who inherited the team from her Dad.
There were a couple of typos that weren't caught in editing, but they were not enough to detract from the story line or the characters.
I'll be looking for more from Ms Kenyhercz!
